The NAIAS 2013 Charity Preview presented by Charter One / RBS Citizens is one of the largest, most prestigious single-night fundraising events in the country. Since 1976, the Charity Preview has raised over $87 million for Southeastern Michigan children's charities; nearly $50 million of which has been raised in the last 10 years alone.

"Charity Preview has become a very special night in the hearts of Detroiters," said Jim Seavitt, chairman, NAIAS 2013. "We are grateful for the support we have received from the thousands of people who have attended the event over the years, and from those businesses that continually offer services to make the Charity Preview a success. We count WXYZ as one of those leading organizations."

By naming WXYZ the official broadcast partner for Charity Preview, the event will experience an even wider range of coverage, bringing the glitz and glamour into viewers' homes. Starting with its "Red Carpet Charity Preview," a 90-minute live special from the show floor beginning at 7 pm, WXYZ anchors Stephen Clark and Carolyn Clifford, and the WXYZ-TV team will provide an inside look at the Charity Preview, from the fashions to the features, and its importance to the many organizations that benefit from the generosity of the more than 12,000 people expected to attend. "Red Carpet Charity Preview" will be rebroadcast at 8:30 am Saturday, Jan. 19.

"We're proud to be the official TV station of the NAIAS Charity Preview, but even more proud to be associated with an event that does such good for the community," said Ed Fernandez, vice president and general manager, WXYZ ABC7 Detroit.  "Charity Preview helps thousands of children throughout our region each and every year; we're grateful to be part of the NAIAS family, and such a wonderful evening."
