Media Advisory: OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING SMALL ELECTRICAL FIRE ON SHOWROOM FLOOR
Jan 21, 2010
"A small electrical fire broke out in the Audi display at NAIAS. No injuries were reported as the floor was efficiently evacuated of patrons and workers. We anticipate the show floor reopening within the next few hours. Today's visitors received a hand stamp that can be used for re-entree when the show floor re-opens in a few hours, or they may visit the ticket stand to receive a pass valid for a return visit on any day. We are assessing root cause but no significant damage was felt to the building or exhibit. Most importantly the efficient actions by onsite staff allowed for a quick end to the situation and resulted in no injuries."
